What is This Sacred Work about?
Welcome to This Sacred Work! This Sacred Work is a soulful space for contemplative activists—those seeking to integrate spiritual formation and social justice in everyday life.
Why this approach?
Many live in either a rhythm of constant doing or quiet detachment. This Sacred Work embraces a third way—one that holds contemplation and action together. True justice work begins within, shaped by rhythms of stillness, humility, and listening. And true spiritual formation doesn’t stop at personal growth—it flows outward into how we love, advocate, and repair. This approach is rooted in the belief that soul care and social change are not separate callings but two expressions of the same sacred work. When we tend to both, we become more whole and more human.
About Me
I’m Brenda Renderos, a multi-ethnic woman carrying years of stories within me. Some left scars, but every story brought strength in the end. I live in wonder and curiosity, and I’m inviting you in.
I’m a wife and a mom of three young adults. I’m also an ICF-certified soul care coach, part of the Unhurried Living team, and a board member for Communitas International. I have years of experience working on a church staff, leading overseas outreach trips, mentoring, teaching, and public speaking. I hold a B.A. in Christian Studies and am certified through the International Coaching Federation. And here’s the thing—I’m still learning, still growing, still curious, and still have a lot of questions!
